With more than 35 years of experience in the building industry, Big Coast Tiny Homes is founded on a passion for quality craftsmanship, practical design and honest construction.
As a fully licensed Open Builder and qualified Carpenter, Ian has spent decades delivering a wide variety of projects across Queensland and Australia — from family homes and luxury multi-million-dollar residences through to large-scale commercial developments, including ferry terminals and residential complexes of more than 150 units.
In 2022, he made the decision to focus exclusively on building tiny homes. With housing affordability an increasing challenge and demand growing for flexible living, he saw an opportunity to create high-quality homes that offer freedom, functionality and value.
Every home is built with a hands-on approach — Ian personally oversees and contributes to each build. Specialist work including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and painting is completed by trusted tradespeople who share the same commitment to quality and have worked alongside him for many years.
